not sure if this is a place that can help me or not. i just ran across this site on google.
last year on july 23 2007 i was involved in a motorcycle accident "no fault of mine". the guy that hit me had no insurance and walked away with only $300 in fines. i suffered many injuries including a upper spinal injurie severed intestine broken femur and they had to amputate my left leg below the knee. i was working full time on the river transporting barges. im still employed with my company but cannot return to work. i was getting disability through work but it ran out after 26 weeks. now i have no income comming in myself. my wife works but makes very little compared to the bills comming in. my car was repossed last night. my electric and gas are about to be shut off. on a good note our landlords are VERY VERY good people and have been working with us. i have a lawyer working to get me some money from my insurance company but they are saying they are not going to pay. as for right now i don't know what to do. anyone that can help me find the sorces to get help?
ps. we have two children living at home with us one 13 the other 18 still in school
